After flood waters receded and the Town of Jamestown identified the need for a Volunteer & Donations Coordinator, resident Nina Andaloro took action. She identified potential volunteer groups to assist residents build back their lives. She successfully recruited Mennonite Disaster Services, Flatirons Habitat for Humanity and worked with various county, state and federal agencies to help repair and rebuild destroyed homes. Her previous work as a non-profit Grant Writer helped in raising funds. Contributes of over $1.5M in volunteer hours and in-kind donations were provided for the town’s recovery. Nina wants their community’s recovery experience to be utilized by communities who may be exactly where she was three years ago. She is committed to sharing information and helping others who need it. Nina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Catholic University in Washington, DC and she has recently completed coursework in Project Management through Colorado State University. She lives with her family in the foothills of Boulder County, CO.
